Tercentenary Event at the Masonic Temple, Birkenhead, Cheshire
I was honoured to be able to attend a very special event on Friday; a tercentenary celebration held by Minerva Lodge on behalf of the Cheshire Province at the Masonic Temple at Clifton Road, Birkenhead. I was also a keynote speaker, giving a talk on the Liverpool Masonic Rebellion, a topic with a local flavour. The Masonic Temple in Birkenhead is a magnificent building with a number of lodge rooms and a fine dining room, where the event took place. It was great to be part of such a successful event that celebrated 300 years since the founding of the Grand Lodge in London in 1717. I have given a number of talks in the building over the past few years for Dormer Lodge and written about the historical Masonic items that are on display there. Here are a few photos taken on the evening of some various Masonic features from around the Temple building.
