Thomas Garnett, the Lodge of Lights and the Radical Enlightenment

Thomas Garnett
Recently, I had the pleasure of having my short paper on Thomas Garnett published in the Philalethes Journal of Masonic Research & Letters, Vol.72, No.4 (Winter 2019). Garnett, who was a notable contributor to the Scottish Enlightenment, gave a lecture on astronomy to the Lodge of Lights (now No.148) in Warrington, Lancashire, in 1796. I have written on the theme of Freemasonry and the Enlightenment many times, especially in my PhD work which was published as The Genesis of Freemasonry, and this theme can also be seen displayed in some of my published papers that are now available on my academia profile.
